    Luxman L-595A SE Advice Please

    Hi All,

My Luxman L-595A SE has just arrived and I am blown away by it, but it is giving off a strong electrical smell. Has anyone else found this and should I be worried?

    Thanks

My Luxman L-509X also produced strong smell for the first 2 - 3weeks, but then eventually the smell disappeared. I guess it is typical for Luxman amps or electronics.

Just as another point of reference, my Luxman C-900u and M-900u were both purchased brand new and never exhibited any smells at all.

Enjoy the smell. Those smells only you can get when you buy brand new. Just like an automobile. It usually last about 4-5 weeks

There is a Luxman Facebook Group where this is mentioned and appears to be common

It actually reminds me of the smell of HiFi shops in the 80's for some reason!

I've listened to people debating this question for years. Do you turn your 595 off?
