Luxman CL-1000
This beauty turned up just 2 days before Christmas after a 7 month wait, and oh boy was she worth the wait, absolutely incredible pre amplifier
Tone and space was the first thing I noticed and coming from a C-900u, I honestly was worried there wouldn't be a noticeable difference, how wrong I was,
Huge step up in every way, dynamics, tone, soundstage (depth & width) this pre amplifier is superb, to say I'm happy is an understatement

Re: Luxman CL-1000
Congratulations on your new cl1000.
Heard the pre at the local Luxman distributor, it defiantly a step up from the C900U.

Re: Luxman CL-1000
I thought the lack of remote control would bother me but once the volume is set then I don't have to change the level
I listen to CD's only, so volume gain is easy to set evertime you select a disc, streaming would be an issue I think as evertime to switch between albums on the fly the gain is so different

Luxman CL-1000
Preamp without a remote? As good as it looks, that’s clearly a fumble.

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
