T2 X1 Call for beta testers
There is a sound quality related change that we're experimenting on for Lumin T2 and X1.
I need users to tell me whether it sounds the same, better, or worse.
If you use a Lumin T2 or X1 analog output and are interested in participating in this test, please let me know and state your Lumin model.
If you happen to be using a preamp that supports AV bypass feature, or using a direct-to-amp setup (i.e. using Lumin volume), please let me know.
Hopefully I can send out the beta firmware by next week (or earlier).Peter Lie

Re: T2 X1 Call for beta testers
Hi Peter, Although I love the sound of the X1 I would like to try it with other firmware. I have the X1 connected to the Integrated Amplifier (XLR), I am not using the Lumin volume. Thank you very much. Greetings.

Will it be possible to easily switch the change back and forth?

Re: T2 X1 Call for beta testers
Hi Peter - I'd like to try it too. I have a T2 currently connected via balanced to a normal input of my Luxman L509X, but I could switch this to the bypass input if need be.

Happy to test. I have an X1 directly to a darTZeel amp. I am currently running your AirPlay firmware you made for me.

Re: T2 X1 Call for beta testers
I have gone back and forth between this and my Beta AirPlay firmware. I believe the mids n the newer version sound better but I think the new firmware is louder as well. I tired not touching the volume when swapping firmware and the new one is slightly louder.

Re: T2 X1 Call for beta testers
For usual types of playback, the volume scale is a little different.
When using AirPlay, the scale is changed significantly from the previous beta you were using.Peter Lie

Sorry. Should have specified. My comments were based in the Lumin App not AirPlay.
