Question regarding Analog Audio Output Level on Lumin A1

Is there a degradation to SQ if the "Analog Audio Output Level" is set to "Low" on Lumin A1?

Analog Audio Output Level is (in theory) best set as Normal. Set it to low if your system has too much gain.

Re: Question regarding Analog Audio Output Level on Lumin A1

Took me awhile to find this thread. I read the answer as yes, there may be degradation. I don't know when LEEDH came on line, but with LEEDH, would your answer be the same?

    I have a D2 and a T3, so checking for both. Thanks.

edit: As the T3 is the newer unit with more processing power, would there be a difference between the T3, and D2 using the Audio Output Level at low?

edit: if the Max Volume % in settings is set to 100 in App options does that defeat Leedh, no matter where the round dial volume is 0-100? I'm probably way off. How that work? (not concerned with defeating Leedh here)

I haven't taken the patience to a/b Leedh enough to know at low volumes if it helps, of course it likely does, the whole point of it. Using Lumin as a preamp you gotta think Leedh is the way...probably not the weak link anyway. I take it hook, line, and sinker as the goodies. Lumin. I've got cable to sort well before that. Telephone pole transformers. Internet cat cable from the street box. How about an audiophile power panel? Gotta do that. Then I contemplate Leedh with a noice ruby port.

Only if both are at 100, does that mean no volume attenuation is taking place.
Anything below 100 on either of those settings, will use volume control (with the default being Leedh).

They get multiplied. Actual volume = main volume × Max Volume %.
So if both are 100, then volume is at 100 (no attenuation).
If the Main Volume is 80, but the Max Volume % is 70, then the actual volume is 80 × 70% = 56.

With the Leedh Processing Volume being more advanced, there is no degradation for analog output setting being low now.
