    Lumin X1 USB input

Can you connect an iPad via Lightinig to USB directly to the USB port on the Lumin to stream music directly. The lack of supported streaming services on the Lumin is frustrating and the fact my whole family uses the Lumin makes airplay a bit challenging.

I don't think so but what are you trying to stream?

I assume you don't want to Airplay it to the Lumin?

And with what you suggested - you could connect your iPad via the headphone adapter to an input your darTzeel preamp using one of its analog inputs.

    Re: Lumin X1 USB input

This is only possible with Lumin P1 with a USB type-B port for USB DAC functionality.

It is not possible with Lumin X1 or any other Lumin streamer because they do not behave as a USB DAC, with the exception of P1.
