Lumin d2 display issues

My D2 died just yesterday
I live in Canada and am not sure what to do
Substituted an old Sonos Connect for now
 
The service center in California repaired my D2 in about a week. Works like new again. I was out of warranty and while it wasn’t exactly cheap, the repair was much cheaper than a new streamer/dac.

Add another Canadian resident to the list. My D2 intermittently does not want to boot. Hoping to find a solution before it dies.

Lumin distributor tells me it's either the PS or main board. Main board is $500USD to replace.

Does anyone know which one has failed in this instance?

Dear All

I have read the forum regarding Lumin d2 boot issue. Unfortunately i have a similar problem.
Everything original, power cord and fuse is ok, and yesterday this was worked perfectly.
But today doesn’t working, the display dark and blank, the reset button doesn’t working The player not found by the application.

I hope you know any tricks or solutions before I call the service. I’m afraid that the service will be very expensive for me.

I am also experiencing the same problem with my Lumin D2, I switched off and on the power several times, and it still doesn't come back up alive. Switched the power cord as well, still the same. I live in Canada.

Does the D2 & U2 Mini share the same power supply? Thinking of getting the U2 Mini but now abit scared after reading this thread.

Hello Peter,

I am having an issue with the front panel not working/booting when I turn on my D2. I haven't used this unit in 2 years since I purchased my T2 a few years ago. I tried to reset it, but no luck. Also, my network can't find it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Folks, not sure if this applies, but I had a frustrating experience when putting my D2 into a newly set up bedroom system after it sat for a while since I upgraded to the T2. I use the phone to control the D2 in the bedroom and the iPad to control the T2 in the main system, and it came down to having different wifi networks auto-joined by the phone and iPad.

Simply making sure that the LUMINs and all of my iDevices were on the same network solved my problem. Like I said, it might not apply here. If it DOES, Peter or someone who is more tech-savvy than I can explain how to set up your network.
