After the last update of the app, when I click on the Qobuz button, the app closes on IPad. Has it happened to someone else?

Please go to iOS settings -> Privacy -> Analytics, find the crash log of LuminController at the relevant time, then e-mail to info@luminmusic.com with subject "Lumin app crash after tapping Qobuz icon"

After that, logout from Qobuz, then relogin.

If it still crashes, please uninstall then reinstall the app.

I've done Disable Qobuz and re-entering Login and Passw closes the app again, also if I uninstall the app and reinstall it.

Peter, it’s so much easier to set favorites on the Quobuz app than the Lumin app. Also if there is a typo in searching for a song or artist on the Quobuz app it still gives you the selection of choices vs. Lumin app which does not. Any chance to make the favorites and search functions on the Lumin app more user friendly or intuitive?

Putting the above aside, I love my X1 and cannot speak highly enough about the great sound quality and responsiveness of you and your colleagues. Excellent product and company! Thanks for all you do.

I fixed the Lumin app crash with Qobuz by logging out and disabling Qobuz in the Lumin app and then deleting the Lumin app.
Then I reinstalled the app and went back into the settings to re-enable the Qobuz app and log-in.
It's working flawlessly again.

Hi Peter,
Would it be possible to:
1. Have an ‘add to ( previously named or new) playlist’ button beside tracks or albums
2. Have the current playlist identified at the top of the screen
These would make a great improvement to working with playlists

If I didn't misunderstand this request, the latest apps for both iOS and Android should already behave like this. If not, please clarify.

Please see it clarified in the below picture. i put an arrow and the icon where i think it would make much sense.
Also if you are in muted mode in the main screen, and click open the volume settings, as soon as the volume settings are open it displays the number instead of the muted speaker icon.

It is not clear to me how this can be implemented. I'm asking Tidal.

I noticed if you open the timeline controls on Ipad (ipad mini) the slider button does not move forward (at all) according the playing time. As comparison this does work correctly on iphone.

We studied the Tidal API, experimented with it, and discussed with Tidal for weeks. The conclusion is that this (Tidal app Radio function) is not technically possible to replicate in our app at this time.

Hi Peter. I noticed that there are no scroll bars in the iOS app on the right side for list in TIDAL and Qobuz. Scroll bars are in the Android app.

The advantage of scroll bars is that in iOS or Android if you grab-and-hold a scroll bar for a second you can then rapidly scroll by dragging the scroll bar up or down.

It works great in the Android app, but in the iOS app I can get it to work by guessing where the scroll bar is and touch-holding that area for a second and then dragging.

Request: please make the scroll bar visible in LUMIN iOS apps in the list areas (i.e., TIDAL Favorite Track list).

Another request: is it possible to implement the TIDAL ‘My Daily Discovery’ mix?

In the native TIDAL app this shows up in the ‘For You’ section on the Home tab. The mConnect app implements this by adding it to the list of mixes under the ‘My Mix’ tab along with the other 8 ‘My Mix’ lists, so it looks like it’s in the API and something LUMIN could do too hopefully.

We checked an iPad and an iPhone, and the scrollbar is present when you're scrolling.

Please provide screenshots of views that the scrollbar cannot be activated when you try to scroll it.

I request that the volume slider remain visible at all times. Right now, I have to click on the volume ring to get the slider to appear. The slider only remains visible for a few seconds unless I keep my finger on the screen where the slider is.

Without a visible slider, there is no really quick way to change the volume or mute/unmute the sound. Rapid volume change and muting are helpful to have.

If there is a problem with having the slider partially block icons below it, then I suggest moving the volume ring to the left of back/play/forward arrows and putting the volume slider to the left of the volume ring. Then all the controls and icons can be visible at all times--at least that's true with an iPad display.

+1 on the LUMIN Remote. My personal favorite feature: When the phone rings, I simply hit one button to either pause or mute.

That said, the remote is fully functional, with the best looks and build quality of all of my remotes. Just a joy to use.

I have 7.3.2 but the slider is still hidden until I press the vol ring. Why not get rid of the ring altogether and just put a vol slider to the left of the rewind arrow? Plenty of room for it and it would be in a very convenient location. The ring is useless imo. I guess I feel the same about the track location ring.

There are 2 things. App version and LUMIN Firmware version.
To see the App version, tap the settings cog, then scroll to the bottom and then you'll see 'About'

While there is room on the tablet UI for a persistent volume slider, there isn't on the mobile UI without also increasing the height of the control section at the top of the screen. Both the track progress / location and volume rings are convenient for me and do not use much screen space while providing a consistent experience between both the phone and tablet UIs. A quick analog indicator that requires much less time to mentally process than the accompanying numeric value.

Plus, I would be worried about the volume control being accidentally manipulated if it was always on screen by a stray finger, potentially blasting the music way louder by accident (even worse if, especially on phones, the "off" button is hit at the same time making it take a long time to correct the volume). Since right now you have to click the volume circle and then move your finger to a different location on the screen that is diagonally offset to adjust the volume, this won't as easily happen by accident.

Regarding the Volume slider - don't worry. The change is just to prevent the pop-up with the volume slider on it from 'timing out' and disappearing.
The normal layout hasn't changed.

There seems an error with the album art via minim server in the latest app. I noted on iPad mini and on iPhone that when playing an album via replacing the playlist, that it here and there shows a black square instead of the album art. The album art then appears after clicking on the album art then clicking back to the playlist, or the album art then appears when the next song of the album starts playing. Album art sometimes also missing after adding new albums and looking them up in the Last Modified.

I don't know what a "minim server" is, but album art occasionally not being shown on the iPad Mini has always occurred. Sometimes it appears if you touch the black spot where the art should be. Other times you need to close/reopen the app for the picture to appear.

Interesting. I noticed only after updating to 7.3.2 (or 7.3.1. maybe). Indeed the album art occasionally not showing.
Upon reproducing I had the "luck" to see it happen. I replaced playlist on iPhone. I saw the album art pop up briefly, then disappear briefly (black spot), then pop up briefly again, then disappear again (black spot) and playing started. With the app open on iPad also I noted exactly the same happened on iPad.
First song than had no album art, and from the 2nd song in the album the album art was showing again.

P.s. miniserver I believe is the lumin advised media server, or what they use at demos. Maybe wklie can confirm

I attach my hard drive directly to the X1 and that bypasses/eliminates any network issues.

My case I noticed it after Minimserver update with new albums and performing library Update.
It seemed resolved after library Rescan.
I suspect that updating the library twice as such had resolved it.
To be sure I've rebooted today (thus after above) the iOS devices to be sure and will let know if it occurs again.

In addition to having a Lumin, I also have an Aurender streamer. The Aurender lets you display both the front and back cover of an album. I request that Lumin include this in the future.

If you're using U2Mini, make sure you are running firmware 15.0i

Maybe you can add volume support for mobile phones (physical + and - button) in the Lumin app. With Bubble or Kazoo it is possible, with Hi-Fi Cast for Hi-Fi Cast only.
