Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Dear All
We are a couple of audiophile friends here in Buenos Aires with Lumin A1 (me) / X1 (Andyk) / T2 (Sergio) and regretfully we are facing some problems... from time to time.. not all days.
The point is that we can not select "Albums" or "Songs" from Tidal
We can see Tidal albums on the Lumin App but we are not able to select/listen to any of them.
If we tap on "Album" we can enter and see the "List of songs" but it is impossible to select and listen any of them.
On the other hand if we look at the left side of the Lumin App on the "Last listen songs" we can select a song and play it.. but if we look for the same album or song on Tidal and try to listen it is impossible.
We have already plugged and unplugger PSU, Deleted and Re Installed Lumin App and also Tidal app.. Reset the Wi Fi Modem..etc.etc.. regretfully with no success.
IS there any recomendation..?
Are you facing this kind of problems too sometime..?
Any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks,
FernandoMcIntosh C302 + C2600 - Lumin A1 - Lenco L75 - Marantz SR6007 - Paradigm S6 - Gaia II - Chord Epic Twin Speaker Cable + Jumpers - Bada LB5500

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Fer, I am sure that this happened to us for one of these 2 reasons, 1. Internet problem 2. Tidal problem, I listen now without any problem.

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Andy my friend
In my case I have re-started the wi-fi modem and it is working correctly.
About Tidal really I do not know if there were some problems with them.
Also consider that I was not able to access to the music stored on the USB Hard drive... (connected to Lumin A1)
I mean that I can see the Albums and the Songs files but when I tap them they were not played.
I´m really concerned cause next days due to Covid-19 I will be working from Home and it will be very good for me to
have Lumin A1 working properly.McIntosh C302 + C2600 - Lumin A1 - Lenco L75 - Marantz SR6007 - Paradigm S6 - Gaia II - Chord Epic Twin Speaker Cable + Jumpers - Bada LB5500

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
For Tidal:
Please try Linn Kazoo app.
If that does not work, please set router DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1
For USB hard drive: please connect it to a PC or NAS, then run MinimServer from there. In Lumin app, select MinimServer as the library.
You may also power cycle the Lumin.Peter Lie

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Hope you are right my friend.
As you know i have purchased an Ipad in order to avoid this kind of problems with Lumin App but regretfully I´m still suffering problems.
This time I do not think it is a tablet problem... let´s see if later when i return home it is fixed.
In shallah......

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Just checking that you haven't accidentally changed the method of the music selection.
There are options in the menu that change this (single-tap and double-tap).
If in doubt, try pressing and holding on an album and see if this pop-up appears.

Then press one of the top buttons to add it to the playlist.
Apologies if this isn't the problem.[Associated with LUMIN]

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Hi Fer,
maybe your playlist is full so it can’t accept any more tracks.
Try deleting some tracks from the playlist. Good luck.

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Hi Fer - I've just watched the video. Nice socks!
Again, I don't know if this is the problem as I can't see a total number of items in the playlist (that is shown right at the bottom out of shot), but I did notice that the number of tracks was in the thousands. Could you have hit the maximum limit?
You could save that playlist out, clear it and then try again.

Edit: I didn't see audionutz post above - apologies for the duplication.[Associated with LUMIN]

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Yes, I think they are 2000, but our problem was due to the internet as I said before. Already solved. Thank you all for the comments. That playlist on my X1 raises issues sometimes (also on A1) now I'm doing some testing and I think I found the problem where it's coming from. It turns out that when I add music to the DSD format (from my external disk) and then add some Tidal albums that I listen to 3-4 days, so far everything is fine, and when I delete that playlist it no longer recognizes the external disk, it does several days i added flac music format from my external disk, then added tidal albums, listened for a moment and deleted the playlist, everything works perfectly. Now ... I think the problem is DSD files, I don't know if I could explain it well, so that our dear friend Peter does some research. Thank you. Greetings to all. May God bless and seek you.

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
Lumin playlist is indeed limited to 2000 entries. When in doubt, please clear playlist and add an album again.
If you suspect this is an app issue, try Linn Kazoo app.
Have you changed the router DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1?
Sometimes a poor internet connection will require a power cycle of the Lumin hardware to recover.Peter Lie

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
1) I have instaled Linn Kazzzo in my Ipad but it seems that this app do not indicate when an Album is MQA.
There is no indication or reference in the Album List all them seems to be regular albums and no MQA indication showed.
2) In Buenos Aires the router is property of the Company that gives us the internet service.
Hence we are not able to enter on it´s Menu or change the original configuration on it which is originally set up by the internet company.
3) My internet conection is 50MB and usually it is around 40 and 47mb.
Many thanks,McIntosh C302 + C2600 - Lumin A1 - Lenco L75 - Marantz SR6007 - Paradigm S6 - Gaia II - Chord Epic Twin Speaker Cable + Jumpers - Bada LB5500

Re: Lumin A1 / X1 / T2 problems in Buenos Aires
1) Linn Products company hates and opposes MQA. That's why you won't see MQA support in both their hardware and software. In your first post you said you were not able to listen to Tidal at all, at least you can use Linn Kazoo app to check whether you can listen to _any_ Tidal 16/44.1 music. Please tell me the result.
2) I'll make a special firmware and send it to you via PM when I get to work tomorrow.Peter Lie
