Humble comparison of U1 with Kenneth Lay psu vs Lumin X1 psu vs Lumia standard PSU

Clearly match between the Kenneth Lau and X1 Psu
Burning in still

System is as follows
DAC : Chord Dave + Mscaler with Plixir statement PSU
Lumin U1 as a source , connected to Melco N1
Pre Amp : Belles LA01
Amp : Icon Audio MB845 mono blocks
Speaker : Audiophysics Virgo 25

Quite a variety of tracks

Here are my findings
Lumin original PSU : Sounds dull
Lumin X1 vs Kenneth Lau psu : Clearly there is a match :
Details , soundstage : similar
I will not be able to say which one is better
I'd say that the Kenneth Lau is very detailed , yet being smooth
The Lumin X1 really resembles the Kenneth Lau

I wonder (no doubts whatsoever) but due-diligence, about U2 internal power supply. Zaheer it seems you are fine with X1 external. I think U2 onboard would be okay, and. best for me. USD$5000 for U2. Is U2 PS exquisite? lol, get one in to test! :hey:

Yes , this is the big question , U2 vs U1
No one seems to have compared the 2
I posted on another post about this question , the U2 seemingly newer in technology , with fiber etc ..
Then the question arising is why Lumin is advertising U1x ..
And if ever , I change , my wife will definitely kill me (lol)
Another option is the Hifi Rose 130 , I had a listen at a friends place , and it sounds very very musical , having the sheer advantage of having embedded Apple Music
The last option is what my wife would like : enjoy the music with what I have , and stopping any upgrade : LOL

U2 and U2 mini have the new processing engine which is a big step up.

Which Kenneth Lau power supply model do you have?

The Lumin U2 supports LC/LC optical fiber connectivity with an upstream music server/NAS/network router, which in my experience, is superior-sounding (no low-and high-source leakage impedance current & threshold noise components) to "copper Ethernet" as well as being less expensive. It's also much easier to install and route from an upstream music server to main audio rack. The U2 also has four exceptionally low-phase-noise crystal clock oscillators and a "dedicated to audio" direct-coupled USB-A port for connecting to a USB DAC, which the U1 does not (the DC-coupled USB-A port, that is).

Last but not least, it also has a very good internal linear power supply utilizing a Plitron transformer with a low-noise regulator, obviating the need for the U1's external LPS.
