Adding new RIPS to the Lumin

If a visitor brings a CD to play on your system, the superiority of the Lumin makes using a CDP no longer an option! How do you quickly add it to your Lumin library?

Stop and restart MiniMServer. Reload library on Lumin app. Done.

Re: Adding new RIPS to the Lumin

To quickly play a few new songs, you can use the LUMIN USB server function. Put songs on a USB flashdrive and connect on LUMIN (you can use a USB extension cord so no need to reach the back of LUMIN). In LUMIN app (or other UPnP Contoller app), select LUMIN USB Music Server as the music library. Then browse to the songs and play on LUMIN.

After adding album to your regular music library, when using MinimServer, please do a "Rescan" (MinimServer 0.8+), or a "Restart" (MinimServer 0.72-) on the server.

On the LUMIN app, you don't need to do a library "Reload". In fact you don't need to do anything! Everytime when LUMIN app starts or wakeup from background, it will do a background checking on the server (MinimServer). If there is a change in the number of album, LUMIN app will automatically update the change in the app. The process may take a few minutes if you have a large library. All these LUMIN app processing is in the background. You can use LUMIN app normally during these background library update. After LUMIN app synchronized with the server, the change will automatically display on the app.
