Newbie question...bi-amping Klipsch
So, I understand that Active Bi-amping requires an active crossover ahead of the amps. Fair enough. Does this mean the speaker internal X-over needs be disconnected or removed? How do Klipsch speakers behave is such circumstances? Are there other speaker brands better suited to the bi-amping situation?

Bryston’s Model T speakers come in a active version, and I believe they actually require tri-amping.

If using an external crossover you would want to disconnect the internal crossover.
I bi-amped a set of Heresy and just used the internal crossover, just removed the straps, put an Adcom on bass and a Parasound on the horns. The Parasound had gain controls so I could balance the horns with the woofer, it worked great. Then I added a couple subs.
Not many home speakers are ready made for external crossing. There are brands with powered bass already that could be an option, depends on what you are wanting to do.Aurender ACS10 w/Audioquest Diamond USB, Esoteric N05xd
