Arrived today. Color is Aubergine. A stock/standard color. This is the baby of the family. Puts out unreal bass and a massive soundstage. Incredibly engaging and musical. $21,750 MSRP

We had a black pair originally, but they sold in about two weeks of getting them, so decided to try Aubergine this time around.

Driving them with the Luxman 595SE.

Same price as Magico A5. When presented with those two options, what would a customer find more appealing about the Kharma than the Magico? What type of buyer gravitates to one over the other?

TAS review of S7-S:

Kharma Elegance S7-S Signature - The Absolute Sound

“The Kharma Elegance S7-S Signature is on a very short list of the world’s most musical, luxurious, and sophisticated speakers. And I have to tip my hat for the elegant way it takes its place on that list. It serves as a reminder that sometimes we don’t merely own a high-end component just to listen to, but also for the sheer pleasure of its company. We all can’t afford an S7-S, but I wish every audiophile could have the opportunity to hear one. That’s what I would call spreading around a lot of good Kharma.”

And this is the baby!

Man, those two speakers (Kharma and Magico) are gorgeous. I'm positive either of them sound every bit as good as they look. Some day I could be in the market for a speaker on that level. But they could be a little much for my 27' x 16' with 7' ceiling, room. My listening chair and space forms an 8' equilateral triangle with the speakers. My recording/music studio occupies 1/2 of the room (behind myself and my listening area). I share the other 1/2 of the room with the TV, a wood burning stove, my wife's and my recliners, and my listening area.

However, my Harbeth Super HL 5+ 40th Anniversary model speakers are no slouches when it comes to sound quality. I'm very happy with them. And, as a medium sized speaker, they match up with my room extremely well. So, I'm not sure how much I'd be gaining with larger speakers. One way to find out...give 'em a listen, right?. And I might do just that. Sometime in the future anyway. But, man, are those speakers beautiful?!! Sure would love to hear them.

.

If anything the S7s may not be enough for that size room, a nearfield setup might get them working as long as they could be accommodated with reasonable space to the front wall. I had bigger Kharma's in a much small room. Tremendous speakers, mine were also Aubergine, the finish is exquisite
