So the R700 are pretty darn amazing. Several guys from our audio club have been over and they all are impressed. To enhance these great speakers a bit more I have the matching sub on the way (thank you Mr. Mike!).

I can't wait to get the R400b setup with my R700. Should be a great combo. This sub uses the same bass technology that KEF developed for the Blades and Blade IIs!

Yea, I love the KEF's. I really love the way that they solve technical issues with science (always have). The bass system they use in this sub is just one example.

Would love the Blade II's, but doing the best I can to approach their performance!

The blades sound great, but they are so damn ugly. I bought reference 5s. They have a beautiful classic look and an amazing sound

Yea, a guy I work with has Ref 3's. They are very similar to my R700s. Same size drivers, etc. But they are certainly more refined, slightly deeper cabinets, etc. Also built in England versus the R series being built in KEF's factory in China (KEF calls them their mini References). He wants Ref 5's!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (and a new KEF "mini reference" sub coming soon).... woot woot.... should be fun...

New sub in place.... so far seems to be a very nice improvement. I am still fine tuning, etc. Several settings that all appear to make actual differences.

I have been sick over the past week and have not had a chance to really listen a lot, however from the little I have, this is the first time I have heard a subwoofer that seems to improve the over all musicality of the system, not just add low end. Really nice design and I love the bass cancelling affect that they trickled down from the Blades to this sub! Amazing, no vibration in the enclosure what so ever!
