Does anyone know the difference between the Capri SC and the S2? I understand that SC stands for super capacitors but how do they differ sonically?

I’ve not heard the S.C. version but from what I understand, the super capacitor version is supposed to be battery powered like in its operation. It’s supposed to remove the AC from the circuit and provide clean steady state power to enhance the sound. I suspect it will add a touch of sweetness to the sound much like other battery powered preamps that I’ve owned.

I still desire to get current (no pun intended) Jeff Rowland gear. It’s absolutely wonderful.

    Re: Capri S2 SC

Thank you. I bought a Continuum S2 a year ago and since then my tube separates have had very little use. I may consider moving to Rowland separates but I’m waiting until my local dealer gets a hold of the 555 once it’s released.
