Salutions from the snowy Bear River Range

I have been gifted a mid-90s McIntosh system(MC7108) and was looking for information that brought me here.

I am intrigued. I might be looking to sell and purchase something that is a little more recent, but still has some great sound.

Re: Salutions from the snowy Bear River Range

    Hello & welcome.

McIntosh is a well respected brand and many would love to have your Mac set up. Several here own Mac. I would recommend listening to the gear for a while to get familiar with it, you might find you may want to keep it, but, if not, you at least have a starting point, reference, to where you would want to go from the McIntosh. I wouldn't off load a good set up to begin buying blindly, or in this case deafly, LOL If by chance you aren't happy with the Mac sound I'd recommend doing some listening to hear what you do prefer. Audio is subjective to the listener preference and we most like different things.

People have Mac gear that has been in service for decades, don't let the age bother you.

Also, if wanting recommendations on brands etc. it would help to know what you did and didn't like about the Mac in order to steer you in the right direction. Your budget you have to work with helps as well.
