    Hello from Iowa

    Hi,
New member. Long time music fan, put together my first decent stereo system in the 70's while I was in the Navy. Most of it is long gone now, but recently re-kindled my interest in vinyl, only to realize that my current amp (about 20 years old) doesn't have a phono input. So...looking to deal with that and probably upgrade several components to move into the 21st century. Thanks ahead of time for all the help and info!!

I have several clients in Iowa and am headed that way for the first business trip in over a year. This is a good place to learn (and figure out ways to spend money).

    Hello and welcome.

It is easy to add an outboard phono stage for your amp, so many options. Your gear may not be so outdated and typically can be easily integrated into current tech.

What amp do you have, other gear? Speakers?

    Re: Hello from Iowa

Thanks Mr.P. Yes I added a separate phono amp as a temporary measure to tide me over while I work through the upgrade process.
