    Hello from Auckland, New Zealand!

Good to be here. Very happy with my system after 1 whole year of not changing anything!

Music sources are Tidal and iTunes via Audirvana or Roon plus a bit of Bandcamp.

Currently interested in the MSB Discrete to replace the Auralic Vega G2 and have subscribed to some threads here to get the thoughts of MSB owners.

I hope everyone is staying safe in that crazy world out there.

The America's Cup sailboat race in Auckland and COVID-19 seem to be causing a conflict today. Are you at Level 3 or 2?

You could be right there. Reading about all the amazing gear out there is motivating. I figure the MSB i have my eye on would be ‘it’ for my digital source leaving only the speakers to reconsider. And maybe a power conditioner. And upgraded cables. And..........

Welcome to a countryman. Originally from Te Awamutu meself. Been around the block a few times as far as MSB is concerned. Haven't tried the latest creations inhouse to be relevent, but, I'd be careful about finding the best greatest in the next couple of years. Here comes wireless..., needs hardware to handshake etc...

G’day! Yep, the pace of change means todays ‘pinnacle’ can be in danger of becoming outdated quickly. I figure something with a modular design has a better chance of keeping up with advances in tech.

    Welcome back SRC666

My wife and I loved your city. In 2019 we were able to fulfill a bucket list item. When we were there we chartered one of the Americas Cup boats to take us out sailing. It wasn't the best wind, but it was amazing.

Yep. Level 3 for 7 days. Unfortunately we have travelled to Pauanui beach for a long weekend break with the family so might have to jump through a few hoops to get back into Auckland! Working at home with 3 kids under 10 can be interesting but in the grand scheme of things we are very lucky

Fantastic! Imagine getting a ride in one of the current boats - probably not allowed for safety reasons. With the recent lockdown the finals mite be delayed. Oh well, more time to chill out and listen to some good music.

The crews go thru a huge amount of safety training before they get on the boats. They are taken to a pool and tied to the bottom, then they have to use their emergency air mask and cut their way loose. When the American boat capsized, one crew member had to do it for real.

They boats don't look like they are going 50mph until they get into trouble.

It is amazing the speed they are able to achieve in the current boats. That and the rate of acceleration that it has.

So what about the earthquakes? Or were you playing your hi-fi way too loud again?

Just the authorities being careful. Quite big quakes but no damage/injuries/deaths - probably why this news didn’t make much of a splash. Of course the sounds were cranked! Breaking in my new Goldenear Triton One.r speakers😎
