    Hello again I suppose...

Apparently, many years ago I had registered here. Pretty sure I followed another member from another site here back then and poking around, it would appear he's till here. Hey John!

So scooting over here from another forum that I feel that I don't fit into anymore. I'm a huge advocate of new and emerging technology. I like Class D, I like technology and I like digital. Honestly, vintage technology and equipment doesn't interest me anymore nor does home theater. I don't build audio shrines for my gear as I like to live with it, I like cats, I like firearms, and I like cars. That should be a pretty decent start. I'm an IT Manager now and a Virtualization Engineer previous.

Current system that I recently finished consists of an NAD M33 and M23 biamped to B&W 803D4's with a B&W DB3D to supplement the low end. As I get used to this config, I may cycle in the Rowlands and see how I feel about things.

    803D4_01.jpg

Previous system was B&W 805s mated with a Parasound P3 and the Rowland 201's. That will likely migrate to another room as I was very fond of it. So anyway, glad to be back!

    Hello and welcome back!
That is a really nice clean look you have in your setup.

I am also starting to look at Class D amps.

    Re: Hello again I suppose...

Like you, I have no interest in vinyl or other analogue stuff, even my CDs now ripped, so I'm only streaming digital.

Also like you I have the NAD M33 but I have no need for the M23 as bridging for more power isn't needed with my 107 dB Avantgarde horns. My seconf NAD Master Series box is the M50.2 that stores my ripped CDs on twin hard drives, can play borrowed or visitors' CDs and can rip CDs. Although the M33 offers streaming from Qobuz, etc, I often play my own .flac files, particularly if I'm browsing music to spot something I'd like to listen to. Browsing is impossible with Qobuz, etc as there's far too much available, most of it alien to my ideas of music!

Unlike you, I have a loathing of firearms, but apart from that ......... Peter

Sources - NAD M50.2 (streamer, CD player, CD ripper, hard drive music store)
    Amplification - NAD M33 all-in-one, NAD M12 preamp (in reserve), Atma-Sphere Class D monos
Speakers - Avantgarde Duo XD, Avantgarde Duo (2006) - both aesthetically modified
