    Five years lost

Apparently I joined the forum five years ago and didn't remember doing so.

    I must be getting old.

I cannot find any old posts, so maybe I joined and didn't comment on anything.

Anyway, I'm here and been into stereo for 40 years or more.

However I moved six months ago after being in the same house for 27 years, and still have not hooked up my stereo or my TV.

I guess this shows how far my laptop has gone into supplementing my entertainment needs and habits.

I'm going to get it hooked up sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

Oh yea, the new house has a finished walk-out basement, I finally have concrete floors for my equipment and bass needs. This will be my dedicated and acoustically isolated playground. Lots of Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) is anticipated.

    Cheers, George/kach22i

Yep, but it needs a lot of work.

I have plans for completely rebuilding it, and far from stock.

Most of the reasons for it not running is all the alterations I've done. undoing 90% is on my agenda.

You know, I might have figured out why I didn't post here five years ago.

I did post, except they never showed up and I might have gotten discouraged.

This happened again just recently, another half dozen posts lost awaiting moderator approval.

I really don't like writing my guts out only to have it disappear like it never happened.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having a forum at all, right?

    Re: Five years lost

Well, some old posts and recent posts are gone, but I am not going to get bent out of shape over it.

May I suggest to the administration.......... if they are reading this......... and now that they are aware of posts getting lost prior to approval via PM's sent, that something be done about it.

Other forums do not have this "approval" bottleneck and therefore do not lose new member's posts.

It's frustrating, but I'm over it - spilled milk.

Once you get past 10 or so posts there is no moderator approval needed.

I think it's about half that, the 10 post mark is being able to post links and images.

    Anyway, no matter.

    Re: Five years lost

I went back and found some posts that for some reason that were not approved, everything should be good now. I am very sorry. Not sure what happened.

By my count, I see 17 posts.

    Again. So sorry.

We moved back in August, had a pod on our lawn for another month it seemed like.

Gosh darn boxes are still here and there in the house, plus a tarp covering some stuff outside.

With the garage addition and stereo room build-out I have planned I think we will be in boxes for the next year.

I think the big reason for the 10 post rule before images etc.., is to prevent equipment sellers from using the site to sell or promote their audio equipment.
