Review: Goldmund telos 590 nextgen ii integrated amp

I think the mark II is current, TAS has a new review coming out in the May/June issue. I don’t think Goldmund moves that quickly with new models/versions.

The new issue is already available for subscribers since the weekend.

Read the attached review. Sounds like an amazing integrated.

IIRC, back when my retail store was a top Goldmund tt dealer, it was quite a while until Michel Reverchon introduced his electronics.

I remember first seeing, then hearing, them in Switzerland at his headquarters.

They were pretty good, I thought.

But when we finally received them and connected them to the Goldmund Apologues, for me at least, it was a total game changer.

In recent years, I've not kept up with Goldmund, although I still have my (still working) Job amp.

Back then (mid-to-late 80s), the Goldmund electronics seemed to bridge the gap between the best of ss & tubes.

Cannot recall any other electronics at the time ever being so adept at pulling the listener into the music.

A very high ME factor. (Musical Engagement)

This must have been before the ASR Emitter as I know that amp is one of your favorites.

ASR had started by then, but I never heard of it until Harry Pearson mentioned it. And even, then it was quite some time before I heard it - long after I ceased being the Avantgarde Acoustic North American distributor in 2005.
