Look forward to your listening impressions.
Thanks!
My Job INTegrated is hooked up and playing from a W4S modified sonos. For $1699 delivered, it's a no brainer. Sounds wonderful right now. Maybe a touch sweeter than the Job 225 amp I used to have. It's dead quiet, has that big Job/Goldmund open sound stage and seems pretty ballsy.
Agreed but not sure about the "touch sweeter" comment. It's too early to say as it needs to burn in a bit more and settle down. The sound is full and not dry or thin. If this is what you mean Joe then agreed... [emoji106]

Congratulations Joeinid!
Keep posting your observations.
Greetings,
Jaap
Looking forward to hearing it with my B&W 805s.
You might be pleasantly surprised Bruce, I'll bring it next time I come over.
Joe,
What is your playback chain? Are you using the USB input?
I find the music a touch better with the USB and optical inputs.
Analog is a shade paler in comparison - likely due to additional cables, etc.
Regards.
Hi Nikhil,
Right now I am using a modified Sonos into the coax spdif. It sounds wonderful. The modified Sonos outputs 24/96 to the INTegrated DAC.
I plan on getting a Lumin U1 and hooking it up via USB to take advantage of the DSD dac inside.
I'd like to run it for the next few days to a week with the Sonus and get it broken in more to really see what it can do.
I have no plans on feeding it an analog signal, so the fact that it converts analog to digital and back again is not an issue for me.
Definitely worth investigating the internal DAC. I think that's where the entire package shines. Job has done a fantastic job of integrating the DAC with the amplification in the INT.
Sorry if this has been asked before but does the INT run any cooler than the 225?
No comparison! The INT does not have those hot heatsinks on the back of the chassis. Hence it never really gets hot, perhaps just a bit warm

I use a PC Transport - sending PCM 352.8 either with JRiver or HQPlayer
Interestingly the INT does respond when I upsample PCM to DSD via HQPlayer.
I did not expect this as I know that the INT converts DSD back to PCM internally.
The INT runs warm to the touch even after hours of playback.
Regards.
So did the INT take over as your component in your main listening space? If so, have you found a new home for your Lampi Amber?
My L4 is probably very similar to your Amber so I'm just curious if you don't miss the tube section of the Amber...
Just saw Joe's comments on the INT on Agon, man he sure makes it tempting:blush:
Tomy2,
It's amazing. Streaming Deezer right now...
Lampi Tube glow vs Goldmund DSP magic!
It is a different sound to be honest but not by much.
The INT goes toe to toe with my Amber fronted separates.
Absolutely no drop off in quality. I haven't been able to fault the INT in any way.
My original intent was to use the INT in a second setup but it has taken center stage.
I still have the Lampi Amber but honestly it has been sitting idle for the past two months.
Go for it! It is one heck of an amp regardless of price.
.
The Job website isn't loaded with details on the INT unless there's more in the 6moons review which I haven't read yet. Is there a remote? How many sets of outputs? I have monitors that are 88db at 8ohm and will be integrating some powered subs soon...
Joe has given some great pictures ...
You can also take a look at the Job INT from their Facebook page
To answer your questions:
Yes there is a remote with Volume Control and Mute Functions
Outputs: One set of speaker binding posts (See pics)
I don't think the INT will have a problem with an 88dB monitor.
However the INT does not have a pre out for a Sub.
Inputs: USB, Optical Toslink, Digital Coax (with the Toslink having auto priority) and one set of RCA Analog
Hope this helps!
I think the Job Int. might be a good match with one of Clayton's Spatial Hologram models. Eventually I will try the 225 with mine paired with the Nuprime DAC-10.
Hi Nikhil,
I do not have any experience with the Job preamp. From all my research, readings and contact with someone who actually had one, I am convinced the Job INT is the better package/combo. Unless you were determined to use a low gain tube preamp of good quality, I would rather see someone go for the Job 250 monos and have more power. If you had efficient enough speakers of a benign load, the Job 225 would be adequate but I still think the Job INT, as a package, is a touch warmer in tone than the 225 with perfect integration and better sound to my ear.
It has been a while since I had the 225 in my system but with the high gain of that amp, it was finicky to match a proper preamp.
Honestly, the best preamp for that amp was the Dartzeel NHB-18NS, dead quiet, low gain, and wonderfully sweet. No one in their right mind would use that combo because of the price mismatch, but I am not "normal". Another great preamp, rather I should say passive, was built for me by Richard Becker of AUM Acoustics. He was able to tailor the piece to my taste. Other preamps recommended are low gain, eg. 0-6db gain, like the Primaluna preamp would work extremely well, this is based on a friends recommendation.
I was able to get the 225 to sing extremely well.
Out of the box, the Job INTegrated is such a great package, no tweaking necessary. Sure it performs best fed by a digital signal because the RCA "analog" inputs are converted to digital and back to analog. Not a concern for me because of the way I intend to use it.
The Job INTegrated, I think, works so well because it is so tightly integrated, meaning the preamp/amp/dac work well together. No gain mismatch to worry about. No additional cables necessary, no additional pieces to worry about matching and wondering if they will work together properly.
The sound of the Job INTegrated has a slight sweetness that typical solid state does not. It has a big sound stage, tremendous separation, wonderful vocals that are clearly heard that are right there in front of you. Bass is supremely articulate and when called upon, delivers powerfully. Image depth is surprising for solid state. You’d swear that this "system" cost a lot more than what you paid for it.
For $1699 delivered, you can not only taste, but actually own an "audiophile" system that delivers in spades. As long as your speakers are not monsters to drive and are reasonably efficient, you are golden.
The Job INTegrated is killer good.
Wow! Joe that is saying something.
Thanks for taking the time to put down your impressions on the INT.
This has to be the best deal in audio right now by far. Earlier today I hooked up a pair of PSB Image T5 speakers for a friend. The INT just made them sing like they never did before. We all know that given quality gear the INT shines but it also makes humble gear sound great. Like you said, one can get a taste of genuine audiophile quality. Pair it with a capable speaker and source and you really are set for a while.
Time to just kick back and get back to the music.
Hello Job INTegrated owners,
I’ve got an issue with USB connection. When I turn the INT on the first song played is very distorted. A high cut out sound, but the song can be recognised. When I stop and restart the song the problem is over. The problem than doesn’t occur again until I restart the INT.
I’ve been using a Auralic Aries Mini as digital source. To avert the distortion problem with the first song I use Coax instead of USB input. However recently I bought a Sonore microRendu. This streamer only has USB out. Also with the microRendu the distortion problem with the first song persists.
The Aries Mini and microRendu, don't have an off-switch. But I turn off the Job INTegrated after listening. So the Job is turned on while the digital source is already on (but not playing). This could be the cause. But it means I always have to restart the first song I play.
Do you have this too?
Can't say I have had this problem but I have had a messed up USB controller on my Audio PC. I managed to solve that by using a spare laptop and re-installing the Goldmund USB driver. Played a few songs on that laptop to the Job INT ensured that the Job USB input was working. Reconnected the Audio PC and I was back in business.
Hope this helps!
Hello Nikhil,
Thanks for your response. Do you use the USB input, keep the Audio PC always on and switch off the Job regularly? If you use the INTegrated that way and you don't have trouble with the first song playing after turning on the INTegrated the problem might indeed lie with the streamer software. I will try your trick with the Goldmund USB driver on a laptop. See if that changes something.
Hello Jaaptina,
I did not have the same problem as you do. In my case the computer would not detect the Job over the USB input. The recommended fix was to do a driver reinstall. For some reason this did not work. But using another computer seemed to get the USB "unstuck" and I was then able to use my Audio PC.
On the Auralic software - have you checked the usual suspects such as DoP etc?

Got a response from Job. They say the sequence is to turn the INTegrated ON before turning ON the USB player. As the USB player isn't put OFF they say I can leave the INTegrated turned ON too.
Great, it just goes to show that source first (in your case USB player) makes more sense to me but as long as you've figured it out, that's all that matters.
My modified Sonos is always on and hooked up the the rca spdif input, never had a problem and the sound is awesome!
Hi Guys,
Just ordered one two days ago. Can't wait to test the beast on my KEF R900 (source is Windows 8.1 Jriver).
I have a question : I have to buy a new power supply cable as the one in the box is for US plugs and I'm in France.
Do you really think the quality of the power cable can have an impact on sound and if so : do more expensive cables give a better sound (in fact I suspect it to be hasardous).
Sorry for my english :D
Welcome to the forum Dond006, thank you for joining.
Congratulations. I have and love the Job INTegrated, they make great gear.
A high quality cable will make a difference. The cable that Job sells is great too, trust your ears. I started with a Shunyata venom and like the combo.
Congratulations! Mine came with cheap OEM EU (Dutch?) power cable. Now using a Diy cable with Teflon tubings. Sounds good. My friend hears the difference [emoji4].
In my system the big difference was upgrading my Pioneer N-30 streamer to microRendu with LPS-1 power supply. Sounds marvelous [emoji2].
Thanks a lot. My power supply is a Bada lb5600 (honest chinese stuff).
I'll try to find a not too expensive shielded power cable.

Hi guys
I received the amp. and it makes a permanent snore when powered (probably a self, dont know). Very annoying.
It also generates a small permanent white noise in the speakers (my Anthem doesn't).
Gonna see if these troubles disappear during the next days, if not I'll return it.

You need to read your post as it makes no sense. I've owned the Job amp for over 3 years and it doesn't snore or make noise. A little more information about where you live and the rest of your system would be helpful too. If you have enough of a negative impression of a product to join a forum and post negative comments on line right out of the box then you and the company might be better off with you sending it back and moving in another direction.
I just powered my INTegrated. Snore? If you mean the slight hum I hear with my ear at 10cm from the housing, yes.
White noise? If you mean the slight hiss I only hear with my ear at 5cm from my tweeter, yes.
These noises don't intrude my listening. This amp is much more quiet than my former (also highly regarded) English amp. I'm still happy with it and so are my friends when listening in.
What amp do you use up to now?
Off course you might have a real problem. In any case I hope your Job gets well.
Jack :
I'm talking about the Integrated. And yes it does snore (noise behind the power plug, like a vibrating self). I tried another power cable and it does the same. I had enough amplifiers to know it's NOT NORMAL. And if you cannot imagine an electronic device could have a problem....well, it's so stupid I don't know what to say.
Nikhil : I use digital inputs . I tried usb, toslink and Spdif, install drivers and tested all 5 Jriver different outputs.
Jaapatina :
"

Well, I hear it meters away, mine is NOT NORMAL.
"

"
Yes this one exactly. Don't have it with my combo MYTEK 192 + Anthem i225.

If you are handy with an allen key (2.5mm size) just open the cover and see what's happening inside.
It's possible to have some damage take place due to improper handling by the freight company.
You definitely should not get any sort of sound like you have described.
Thanks Nikhil,
I contacted Job and a technician will answer me.

Please keep us updated. I have and love my Job INTegrated. Hope it's something simple.
