    Gryphon Diablo 300 Revisited...

As many of you know, after about 9 months of reading, researching, and a final audition and comparison, I've made my final decision on an amp to go with my Harbeth Super HL 5+ 40th Anniversary Model speakers...the D300.

I'd like to hear comments on how you like your D300 after a few months or years of ownership? How has it compared to other amps in it's price range? Are you still as excited about it as when you first purchased it? Personally, I can't wait to order, unbox, and first play music through it. I'm starting to lose some aural memory of the D300 and I need my D300 fix. So, tell me how wonderful your D300 is. Also, tell me about which DAC you're using and how it compares to other DACs. Thank you!

    Re: Gryphon Diablo 300 Revisited...

Hey Joe! How's my new buddy? Yeah, it is indeed a fun time anticipating the order and delivery of my Gryphon Diablo 300, Lumin T2, and Roon Nucleus. It's exciting for sure. But it's been a lonnnnnng wait. About 2 1/2 months to go. For me, any other August to January would be the most fleeting time of the year. I say it every year...the period from August to January is the time period when the year goes by at it's quickest. It's like there's a time warp during that period. Not this year.

I started my research in earnest last February. I'll withdraw the funds on my birthday. It'll take a few days to receive the money from my pension. Then "the phone call". If Mike still has a D300 and the other components in stock it'll just be a few days more. If there is not a D300 in stock, could be another month or two...I really don't know for sure. So, a little more patience, we'll see. I just took delivery of my new "listening chair" a beautiful dark blue, powered, leather recliner. Just received and assembled my entertainment cabinet. I even purchased an iPad as a dedicated controller for my T2 and Roon. So I think I'm as ready as I can be. At almost 70 years of age I don't want to wish my life away. But, man, the wait is a killer. It'll be so sweet when it all arrives. Sweet day indeed.

I’m doing great. All my amps are breaking in nicely and I’m so happy.

I totally understand what you’re going through but very soon you’ll be in musical heaven.
