Arcam miniBlink Bluetooth Streaming DAC
Being able to stream from your mobile phone, tablet and laptop is a popular new option these days, so Arcam has created a another way to add this capability to an existing audio system.
The miniBlink is based on the technology from Arcam’s previous Bluetooth DAC, the $300 rBlink, which has been re-engineered to lower the price by 50%. The $149 miniBlink has a USB input for power only, and mini audio output for wiring into your system. When you are in range, you pair your device via Bluetooth and can then start streaming audio.
Inside is a Burr-Brown PCM5102 24bit DAC chip and aptX streaming technology and the company is claiming 30dB more headroom and improved distortion specs compared to normal Bluetooth. The miniBlink should show up around March.

Re: Arcam miniBlink Bluetooth Streaming DAC
I got excited to see Arcam would have a Bluetooth receiver, especially at the price, it doesn't seem well thought out though, if it's to connect to an existing system why not use AC, even if wall wart. I don't have USB by any of my systems. I suppose a mini jack is alright but RCA type I like better. I'm using now the Audio Engine B1 which better seems to meet use for home audio systems. Thinking about it, they do have those AC to USB adaptors like for phones, but, I still prefer the B1's connections. At this point I only stream occasionally in my workout area where listening isn't critical. I'm still an old school audio guy and I can't see me streaming or turning to hard drive. The problem with computer based music, it's computer based, LOL.

USB can plug into a wall adapter - it's otherwise known as a cell phone charger. I suspect you already know this.
