Ten days ago yesterday I drove to Best Buy in Gainesville, Florida (55 miles each way) and purchased two 4K televisions, a Sony XBR49X900E for $999.99, and a Sony XBR65X900E for $1799.99. This past Tuesday evening while looking at Best Buy's website I noticed they reduced the price on both televisions. The Sony XBR49X900E is now $899.99, and the Sony XBR65X900E is now $1499.99. Best Buy's policy offers price matching. If they lower their in-store or online price during the return and exchange period (15 days), they will match the lower price upon request. That motivated me to drive back to Gainseville yesterday with my receipt and was pleasantly refunded $426.00 on my purchase of the two televisions. I sure love price match refunds like that.

These lower prices on the Sony 900E series 4K televisions makes these sets a tremendous buy. Their new price on the 55" Sony XBR55X900E is now $999.99. That is one heck of a buy on a wonderful 4K television.

Very nice Dan......you can now take the refund and buy some 4K movies to go with the new TV and the new Oppo.

Paul.......
That's my plan. In fact before I left Best Buy I browsed the 4K movies and picked up three more, Fifty Shades Of Grey, Lucy, and Jason Bourne. The best part is they were on sale, two at $9.99 each and one at $12.99. I wish I didn't live so far from Best Buy. Their weekly specials on Blu-ray and 4K movies are always attractive.

Sweet!! Enjoy Dan!!

My friend Pete bought the Sony XBR49X900E last Saturday. I texted him Tuesday night about the price drop and he got a $100.00 refund Wednesday. Then while he was in Best Buy he turned right around and spent $190.00 on Audioquest HDMI cables he needed. Not bad when you can offset the purchase with a $100.00 refund.

Hey Dan, Are saying the 65” 4K was $1499.99 and it specs out nice?

UltraFast69........Yes indeed. The Sony 900E series 4K televisions are where all the right things come together to create excellent 4K high definition television. The XBR65X900E features LED back lighting and full array local dimming that produces the brightest and most lifelike images with incredibly dark black levels and super sharp contrast. The E900 Series up-scales input to 4K. My DirecTV satellite feed has never looked better than on the new 65" Sony. The 900E series televisions also feature HDR (high dynamic range) which further enhances color saturation, color gradient pallet, and resolution. It also incorporates a true 120 Hz refresh rate for clear motion. The full array back lighting delivers 5 times the contrast of edge lit LED televisions. I know I'm beginning to sound like a Sony salesman but this is the best television I have ever owned. The picture is astonishing and 4K content is mind blowing. Best Buy's price of $1499.99 for the Sony XBR65X900E is an amazing value for a premium level 4K television. It is also a smart TV with all the great apps built in, Netlix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube and much more. You can connect the television to the Internet via Ethernet or its built in WiFi. I am confident you would not regret owning this TV.

I went for OLED from LG earlier this year. I buy a new TV about once every 20 years. This one replaced a 32 inch CRT, so...I went for the best.

Mike, those 77 inch OLED's are amazing but bloody expensive. Congrats
