Subscribing for Rose updates, just saw this topic from the Rose website:

RS130

Mostly in Korean but scrolling through some details appear in English.

Perhaps this is a bit of Mike referred to at the upcoming show in Germany.

Saw the following post (on PS Audio's forum) about RS-130 pricing from the UK, not sure why the large discrepancy in price from what Mike posted.

RS130, £4299.00 including VAT from Henley Audio in the UK, or $5,400.
HiFi Rose RS130, Audio Destination in the UK for £3,582.50 Ex Vat or $4,477

As I mentioned, “estimated price”. Nothing was set in stone at Munich.

Because pricing is not constant between countries.

You need to account for tax differences, currency value difference and currency stability issues, government warranty requirement differences (which add to the price), importation business structure difference, etc. etc.

I don't understand (NOT aimed at you Bill) why people think pricing should be constant between different countries.

price seems very steep for just a streamer.....
hopefully they will have a cheaper option in the future

Will be interesting to see how the RS130 compares to the established competition from Aurender, Auralic, Innuos, etc.

Music Direct and Upscale both are showing Price $5,195.00

Could be. He needs to reread the thread - Mike was the one who said it was $10K from what he was being told at the time - not me.

nothing to reread. Mike noted a price of a unit he has on order. I noted two other providers that provide another price. Even Twittering machines and Part-Time Audiophile are showing the price I noted. It's not a BIG FREAKING deal. We will all know the price sooner or later. Good grief.

While everyone is waiting here is the owners manual./

Appreciate the price heads up. It's certainly competitively price at ~$5,100. I'm curious to see if in reality it actually better the 150b as a pure streamer as right now the 150b as a pure streamer is sounding pretty darn good!

Should be interesting and the user can utilize their own dac of choice.. The fiber connection is kinda cool. I'm still saving up for the 150b. :)

I agree on the 150b. It's more versatile and I bet would have better resale as you can sell it to a wider variety of people. I have the 150b running into my AQUA La Scala DAC with Mullard NOS tubes and frankly it sounds better than it should for its price point.

A couple new reviews of the RS130:

A much more comprehensive review from HiFi News (October 2023) where they award it as an Outstanding Product. Some of their notable findings:

Linear PS with supercapacitor UPS, feeds separately regulated supplies for processors, OCXO, NVMe SSD cache, USB and Ethernet ports. Reports on revelatory sonics uncovering nuances never before heard on familiar recordings. Sonics are indistinguishable on files played via internal SSD or USB connected drive or from NAS.

Measurements section states it’s firmly in the upper echelon of music storage/streaming devices with the Aurender W20SE, Grimm MU1, Innuos Statement, AURALiC Sirius G2.1 (may have meant Aries combo since I recall they were reviewed together), and Antipodes Oladra. Jitter figures are on par with the best they’ve ever measured which were from the Aurender W20SE and N30SA.
