H95 or H90+DAC?
Hi all. Currently living in Japan where Hegel finally has a local distributor. Thinking about purchasing either a new H95 or a used H90 and a Denafrips Ares ii for a secondary system in my home. Price comes out to be almost exactly the same for both options. It's not possible to demo any of the equipment. Just going on reviews. Will use the system mainly for streaming Tidal and Amazon HD in a smallish room. Have a Node 2i to feed into the external DAC should I go that route. Reviews (and Hegel) are saying the DAC on the H95 is far superior to the H90. Will there be a noticeable difference in sound quality between the H95 DAC and the Denafrips? Having only one box to deal with is appealing if I won't be sacrificing SQ. Of course buying new is, all things being equal, preferable to used.
Any opinions and/ or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My 2ct are that in 4 years I was never disappointed by H90's internal DAC.

Suggestion: run Roon core on a computer in your house. Laptop is fine. Try roon on the aurender (free demo) and compare. If you prefer roon (it’s the best UI, but sonically inferior IMO), then...
