oxidative nucleoplasty for the lumbar disc

I damaged some disc fromfield work, but the 300 or so lb rock I was trying to move in 2009 resulted ina huge burst of multiple disc in my low back. Put me down for ayear. After suffering that long I went for a Discectomy in Califwhere they poke a small tube into the disc and remove some nuclei material. That is supposed to take the pressureoff the disc. It got rid of the backpain for the most part, but 3 weeks later something went again and I got abunch of leg pain.
Some amount of yearafter the incident and surgery I was pretty mobile and able to work and getaround. I cannot run. I can bike. Could do some golf but no tennis. After a pretty intense work load this summer where my back got more andmore achy each day something gave out and put me on a couch for 6 weeks. Literally. I could not walk at all. Going to the bathroom meant my right leg wasgoing to light on fire and maybe buckle.

In the past I had talkedwith a Dr Michael Brown about Stem Cell injections. I looked him up again andhe talked of Ozone injections into the disc to firm up the inner material andkeep it from bulging out the wall of the disc. It was this or the Surgery I had lined up to clip off the outer wall of thedisc and hog out the bone where the nerve passes from the spinal cord to therest of the body. Surgery is suppose tobe very successful, but you are decreasing the wall thickness of the disc andscar tissue is going to build up and has the potential to cause more issues 8to 10 years down the road. I went forthe shot.

23 days after thesurgery I went for a walk over a mile with my wife and dog. I had no issues. I do have to walk conscious. Not fast or slow. Just take my time, breath and stay consciousof my core strength. I do some physical therapyworkouts a couple times a day for about 10 minutes each. Maybe even 3 times a day. I tell you, I did not believe this wouldwork. I did not have a lot of placebofaith helping it along. I am far tohealth to have a surgery now. This issuppose to have the greatest impact in the 2 to 4 week period. It keeps working 6 to 8 weeks out.

If anyone is sufferingfrom radial pain in the legs from a hernia, this is a far better solution thana discectomy and foramina clearing. There is not scar tissue and it has better long term results. I paid $1700 out of pocket.
If you have an AnnularFisher, stem cells and platelet rich plasma with other materials in the shotcan assist your body to heal over the crack. That has a longer recovery as they have to make a small opening andclean out some of the fisher before applying the stem cell PRP material. My procedure was a shot under a fluoroscope. Not much different than a Cortisoneshot. I was moving around the next dayand all irritation from the procedure was gone by the 2nd to 3rd day at most. By the 3rd day I was actually justfeeling better.

Thanks Joe, There is something that is going to revolutionize disc repair. Dr Brown has not shared what, but said its about 5 years out. In trials in Canada.

Fingers crossed. I have a friend with neck issues and pain. I’m not in the best of health either and I’m sympathetic with everyone experiencing problems themselves.

I figured everyone here is older. Not to many under 50 playing high end audio.

61 here, and fortunately I don’t have back issues. I do replace a lot of hips and knees for people younger than me. My 28 year old son, however did get an annular tear from a car wreck a year ago, and is still not healed.

Miserable problem, to be sure. I will keep your solution in mind. Many thanks for the report.

Re: oxidative nucleoplasty for the lumbar disc

My doctor died out of the blue. I have been going to another needle doctor who performs superficial injections that are a mixture of your own blood they process, B vitamin and ozone. Huge improvement. Excellent for an annular fisher. My new doctor talks around the world. Contact Interactive Health Clinic. Dr Brendon Cochran. Shots are only about 1.5 inch deep so you really cant hit a nerve.
