Woo Audio WA22
Just got a new Woo Audio WA22 (2nd Gen) amplifier which I have been really enjoying for a couple days now. What an amp, and boy does it power my Abyss headphones well... almost a perfect match I would say!
I have found that the past couple nights I do not even feel like turning on my MBL amp and listening to the Maggie's
... works well with vinyl although, unlike the SimAudio, the Woo is sooo detailed that I can actually pick up more of stylus in groove sound. Digital is dead quite and oh so dynamic!

Congrats Randy. I heard this exact combo at RMAF and it sounded sublime. Definitely a synergistic combo.

I finally had some replacement driver tubes arrive yesterday. They are 1966 Sylvania Brown Base 6SN7WGTA. What a huge difference! I can see why the WA22 is called a tube roller's delight.
I also am using a JAN Phillips rectifier and a pair of JAN Phillips power tubes in the amp.
I have some Black Treasures on order but they are taking a ridiculously long time coming from China. The Black Treasure driver tubes are arriving today and a NOS Mullard rectifier on the way. This should give me some good alternatives to play around with rolling into the Woo!
The Black Treasures sound excellent. Excellent detail, wonderful fullness and body especially with acoustic music. A wonderful tube for new production for sure. This Woo is really sounding amazing! I have been trying some better tubes and boy has it opened up.
Here is with a pair of NOS JAN Phillips power tubes, some Black Treasures driver tubes, and a NOS Mullard rectifier, playing through my Abyss Diana Phi's. Absolutely the best I have ever heard headphones!

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
