Anyone here had the opportunity to hear one of these? Gonna be picking one up soon, along with a set of Focal Stellia phones. I need a set of closed phones so that my wife can read and watch TV while I'm listening to music. The new NAIM headphone amp seems to be getting glowing reviews on quality, sound, and features. All of my phones to this point have been of the $300 or less variety with no headphone amp. So this is new territory for me.

I have one with Utopias. I gave up my Violectric V281 headphone amp after my first experience with the HE. It's an amazing device that checks all the boxes, sounds great and is a joy to use. It works well as a streamer/DAC/preamp too.
I'm thinking of hooking mine up to a Naim NAP 250 DR for a terrific two box system.
You will not be disappointed.

I really like Focal headphones. I actually have some Clear MG's on the way as my secondary cans.

Focal Stellias and NAIM Uniti Atom Headphone Edition amp on the way! Actually, the amp is in stock and the Stellias are on order. Hopefully it won't take too long to get the phones. A couple of weeks...who knows? I'm guessing the amp should show up at my door step early to the middle of next week. Covid has messed things up so badly that it affects just about anything you have to order these days.

Should I connect my headphone amp (Uniti Atom Headphone Edition amp) to the net using WiFi or ethernet input? The amp has both. Does one sound better vs the other?

I don't use either on mine but I would assume ethernet. WiFi is usually the lowest connection speed and quality.

It depends on the quality of your network. I prefer wired. I have my Atom HE, Nucleus and Naim ND555 connected to my Ansuz PowerSwitch. The best cable connected to the Nucleus. Even more important than the one going to your MSB Streamer.

Well, I've had the Uniti Atom Headphone Edition and Focal Stellia phones for a few months now. The setup is far beyond superb. I'm enjoying it soooooooo much! The sound is just stellar. Not to mention the countless features of the UAHE. Everything is working flawlessly. I listen to the headphone setup in the evenings and the speakers in the daytime. The Pass INT 250, MSB Discrete DAC, Harbeth Super HL 5+ 40th Anniversary speakers and Roon Nucleus really kick butt and take no prisoners. Well, sort'a anyway.:cool: Mike, I couldn't be more satisfied with my system. Thanks, yet again. :congrats:

So happy to hear! It’s a fabulously musical system.

I can now understand why some audiophiles listen to headphones exclusively. No room or atmospheric influences. Just pure, top shelf quality sound. It's very difficult to surpass the sound quality of a superb set of headphones and a top notch headphone amp. :audiophile:

Very nice unit, simple one box solution. I had the Devialet mono powering the Revel Studio2. They were replaced by the Pass INT-250. Now I'm using the Devialet as the headphone amp. I'm thinking to get a dedicated headphone amp with the streaming capability (one box streaming DAC/headphone). Look like the Atom HE is perfect to do the job.

I have my HE connected to a Naim 250 DR amp for a super 2-box system. It is going to replace a 7-box Naim 500 system.
The curious thing is that I was listening to headphones most of the time while the big 500 system sat idle. Now I find myself listening to huge ROON generated playlists with speakers. It’s as easy to use as my Naim Mu-So. The majority of the music sounds better with the HE. It’s more forgiving of less than perfectly recorded music. I no longer focus on SQ, I focus on the music.
The HE/250 DR has turned out to be what I’d hoped the Naim Nova would be.
