I didn’t realize how small the 4349s were until Chris published the specs. Given their size, these are beefy speakers weight wise.
Micro Seiki SX-8000 air bearing table, SME 312s arm, SME 3012R arn, Dynavector XV-1s cartridge, Lyra Etna SL cartridge, ARC Ref 3 phono stage, Otari MX-55 2 track R2R, Ampex 350 tape repros, Roon Nucleus Plus music server, HiFi Rose 150B DAC, ARC Ref 6, ARC Ref 75 with KT-150s, Parasound JC5 amp , JBL 4345 speakers, Viero Equilibro Level 3 speaker cables, and Definitive Technology Ref subs.

Their size is interesting and manageable, but nothing like those 200+ lb guys you have.

Re: NEW JBL Studio Monitors (4349) SPEAKERS Coming in Sept

    Joe,

Since you used to own JBL 4367 and Harbeth 40.1, how would you compare the JBLs to the Harbeth? Could the JBL 4367 match the magical midrange of the big Harbeth monitor?
    Thanks,
    Anshul

Re: NEW JBL Studio Monitors (4349) SPEAKERS Coming in Sept

I’m a big JBL fan. I’d take them, especially the 4367, over the big Harbeth. The Harbeth 40’s are really nice but so room dependent, especially needing big rooms. The Harbeth, if not setup perfectly, are problematic. I think the JBL are more forgiving. I miss my 4367 but these 4349 look pretty nice and seem more manageable.

One thing that I like about the 4349 is the stands, same with L100's. It would be cool if they had a pedestal or stand of some sort for the 4367. Just to give a bit more height. I know there are some to be found aftermarket but it doesn't bother me enough to go through the trial and error.
