    Yes we all hear different.

And yet, regardless of the eyes, there are landscapes more beautiful than others; regardless of the noses, there are smells that are more attractive than others; regardless of mouths, there are more appealing flavors than others; regardless of the hands, there are softer skins than others ...

Why everyone hears the same sound differently.

The research was carried out by scientists at Harvard. I agree with the basic conclusion that all of us hear different things. In terms of audio, a subjective reviewer believes that he hears what he says and he writes about. Yet others may hear something very different.
That is why I believe that there is definitively a role to play by science in audiophile stuff. Our ears (and hearing) can play tricks on us and lead us to like/enjoy something that could be technically flawed.

well I did not know about that ! but how can we be sure that we are hearing things differently ? how is that even possible ? i mean given different factors such as age i might not be able to hear somethings (because of old age for example) but hearing things differently is something i can not understand right now

I prefer the subjectivity of having as many hi fi concepts as there are audiophiles, to the existence of a kind of theory of everything, to the uniformity and the unique criterion dictated by the numbers

This is pretty easy to back up without a Harvard Study.

For those who wear glasses, Listen with them on and then take them off. The sound changes. Put your fingers behind your ears and move them around. The sound changes.

Now consider that no 2 humans have the same shaped ears , or skull, which is the speaker cabinet.

I can't see how any two people could actually hear the exact same thing.

This is crazy and cool all at the same time! I love random interesting facts such as this and find studies such as this Harvard one very intriguing.

Yeah, that is why some people will see a glob of paint on a canvas and another will bid $1 Million Dollars to buy it.
