Upgrading my Cine Camera gear

OK Guys, things are getting serious.

Started with a Sony DSLR (A7c) then upgraded to a more "cine" type camera, the Sony FX3 several months back.

I have quickly outgrown that and now am selling that and upgrading to a more professional Canon c70 Cine camera.

Can't wait to start using it!

Yeah - the picture difference between the two is quite significant. The Canon has their DGO sensor and when comparing the Canon to the Sony not only does the Canon have better skin colors and tonality/shading, but the picture look is quite different as well - the Sony looks very 'digital' and boring while the Canon looks much more 'analog' or film-like and mimics expensive RED and ARRI cine cameras.

The Canon also has built in adjustable ND filters and also allows me to record video in 12 bit RAW. I much prefer shooting RAW video with the massive advantages it carries over more traditional formats.

It even has Adjustable black shading which the Sony does not! It's a much more professional level camera for cinema. Having said that, had I gone with the Canon first I don't think I'd be able to appreciate what it has that makes it superior. The Sony was a good starter cine camera for me.
