I don't think it is because if it was "Google Lens" would have been able to locate and confirm it.

I personally don't have a clue of what it is; that's one of the main reasons I started this thread yesterday. I've heard that a lot of people are searching right now but no one has find anything yet.

    I highly doubt it.

It looks like some type of mechanism that you activate with that yellow knob.
I just don't know Bud; that's why I'm trying to find out here with the gentle and smart community.

The end part with the hook; it ends up with a small ball. It must have some kind of attachment that goes to it?

We are a whole bunch of us from various regions of the world and different backgrounds, all unique each one of us, and yet no one can tell what this object is. My friends and members of my family from Quebec are all searching for several days now. All across Canada and the USA people are searching to find out what it is.

I highly doubt it because after some serious effort searching I couldn't find anything remotely close.

If you have any link with a picture it would be highly welcome.

Somebody suggested that you can hang your tie inside that vertical side shape, and your belt (by the buckle) by inserting it sideways in that hole on the opposite side.
As for hanging your hat on that apparatus...I just don't know.

Its either a bird feeder holder or some type of hanging plant watering device with a bottle turned upside down in the little ring section, the little wooden piece seems to fit in a rail where other plants would be handing. Just my guess.

Those are valid guesses. But I Googled everything already to do with birds, with cages, with plants, etc. I couldn't find anything, zero remotely related. That object is nowhere near to be found, anywhere.

So far the hanger for a tie and a belt is the one that closest resembles what it is used for in the closet. It was a couple who suggested it from an email I received. But they couldn't confirm with absolute certainty; it was only what they think...a guess. They also mentioned a hat but I don't see how.

I admit; it is not easy. That yellow wooden button is intriguing. I even checked all the parts on vintage sewing machines. And it's neither an antique kitchen tool.

And it could be a on the bank fishing rod holder. Something like this./ I've seen these things in all kinds of configurations, with weights on the rod handle end to hold it, doubles, singles etc..

    That's a fair guess ...

But the original object (1st post) was found in an old house's wardrobe.

    * Anyway, going fishing sounds like a good plan ...
