Oh no! I was just watching their concert ‘The Dance’ a few days ago and hearing again how good she was in that performance. Sad…

Very sad indeed. I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac thanks to my older brothers. Such a shame.

    R.I.P.

Listening to Tango In The Night album right now.

I grew up listening (albeit marginally)to Christy McVie and British Blues band 'Chicken Shack' of the late sixties ! She then married John and joined FWM.

I have a tape of her Christine Perfect album (her first solo album IIRC). Her maiden name was Perfect. Wonderful as a singer, pianist and lyricist. Larry

    This really just happened.
Wife comes home from work tonight-

    Her: Did you hear?
Me: Yes, I did. It's so sad.
Her: We have to listen to Rumors on vinyl...

Phil A.....I see you have one of Mike VansEvers' power conditioners. I met Mike about 25 years ago and became pretty good buddies. He lived less than a mile away, when I lived in south Tampa. I was telling Mike about my system at the time and how it just didn't sound quite right. He walked in the room, looked at me and said "no wonder it doesn't sound right". He walked to my system rack and removed the 1/2 dozen cd's and my car keys. I was blown away at the transformation. I used to go hang out at his shop quite a bit and learned more from him than anybody in audio. His listening skills were better than anybody I have ever met. He would sit facing away from his system and I would turn a pair of interconnects backwards or even change one of the wood blocks he used for tuning and he could pick the change correctly every single time. A writer for one of the mags came over and listened to his system and gushed that it was one of the very best he had ever heard. He was using a pair of Chinese monitors, the woofer and cabinets of the L100's, pair of home made subs, home made pre and a modified McIntosh amp. The writer called a few days later and said he couldn't say that his system was so good because he would get negative feedback as all his components were homemade or modified. Mike's worst business decision IMHO was not wanting Stereophile to review his conditioner. His fear was getting a bad review and killing him. That and Monster came out with their conditioner with the big voltage meter on the front and people wanted that feature. He would listen to each batch of wire and wire all of his products with every piece of wire facing the proper direction. He was way ahead of his time. He modded my Aragon 4004 MK2, and much to my surprise he only changed a couple of pieces of wire and epoxied different types of wood under the cover. That wasn't a great amp anyway, but it was much smoother and less forward. Great times!
