    Bucket list

My wife and I completed this last couple of weeks.

30+ years ago when we spent time in Yosemite NP. One evening I said I wanted to come back during the Christmas season when the Ahwahnee Hotel was decorated for the holidays. One of the main things in the bucket list plan was going out and making snow angels and then coming in for a warming adult drink.
Unfortunately we didn't have a new fresh show but there was enough to throw one more thing into the bucket.
I will save you from the video of an old, heavily dressed, chubby guy getting to the ground in snow and back up again.

    Re: Bucket list

After we left Yosemite, we went to South Lake Tahoe. Not because it was on the list but we had never been there.
Once settled in our room we discovered a major front was coming through with 2'-4' of snow. The general consensus was that it would be done showing and the roads would be clear enough to drive to Reno by Monday afternoon when we needed to arrive.

This is a pic of our rental mid afternoon the day the snow started.

    Re: Bucket list

Here is a picture Sunday morning after the hotel lost power and we decided to try to get to Reno. 18" of show and still 24 more hours of snow to come. The rental had the worst 4 wheel drive if at all. It was a white knuckle driving experience to say the least.

The worst section of the drive was from SLT to Carson City. It was 24 miles and took 3 hours.

Looking forward to being back in Florida Tuesday night.

I figured I would add a few from Yosemite.

Yosemite Valley. EL Capitan on the left. Half Dome, in the center way in the distance. Bridal Veil Falls on the right.
