My dedicated room build will finally start next week. Currently my listening room is on the 1st floor and will be moving to the second floor. I’m in pretty good shape but no way am I carrying my Von Schweikert speakers and JL Audio f113 subwoofer up a flight of stairs. :D

Hire good professional movers and get lots of blankets. Don’t try to do it yourself.

Good luck. I was thinking of upgrading my speakers but I have zero desire to go through moving and packing them again.

A dolly works great. Cover the speakers with a thick blanket and strap it down

ditto and I'll use tie downs to secure speakers to dolly. Going down I don't have to bother anybody but going up I get someone to steer the dolly while I push up from the base.

A dolly lays horizontal to the floor and usually has four casters, its useless for moving anything up a flight of stairs.

I just went through this exercise twice in the last few months with speakers >100 lbs each up/down stairs. You'll need a hand truck, preferably with appliance straps. You can rent one for the day at your local u-haul or the like. It helps to have someone lift and push from behind. I would strongly urge packing the speakers back in their cartons particularly if you are using appliance straps to secure it to the hand truck.
