Re: New device puts music in your head - no headphones required
The technology of "sound beaming" has been around since Adam and Eve first spoke and no one has been better at putting things into a man's head since....

Re: New device puts music in your head - no headphones required
I had to check the date to make sure it was not April 1st...
People enjoy the sound of cheap ear buds, others require headphones that are of a different level. Assuming this works I can guarantee they would not sound as good as my Abyss.
Hattor; T+A; Bel Canto; McIntosh; Rega; Technics; SimAudio; Magnepan; Rythmik; Astell & Kern; HeadAmp; Abyss

Rather similar technology used for communications on America's Cup boats. I had a demo at the UK headquaters of the British challenge here in Portsmouth. The helmets worn by each crew member has contact with the skull and radio conversations can be clearly heard without headphones or ear pieces but the ambient noise around you is unaffested.
Can deaf people "hear" this music? If so, great! I'll stick with my nice old-fashioned loudspeakers I think!Sources - NAD M50.2 (streamer, CD player, CD ripper, hard drive music store)
Amplification - NAD M33, NAD M12, Consonance Cyber 845 monoblocs
Speakers - Avantgarde Duo XD, Avantgarde Duo (2006 - aesthetically modified), Martin Logan Expression 13A (now sold)
