Nelson Pass answers a question from Michael B on Steve Guttenberg video!

Great interview! Impressive that he says Mike's name rings a bell. Perhaps Mike can get him to visit Suncoast Audio for a talk and demo!

Saw that video. Was surprised Nelson said:”That name sounds familiar”, when referring to Mike. No doubt Nelson is one of my hero's in this field of audio. I met him over 30 years ago at Sound by Singer, when he came out with his first Threshold moscode amplifier. In my heart of hearts, I knew I could never afford his gear. It did come to “Pass” that eventually I was able to buy his wares. God bless America.

In a subsequent Guttenberg video, Steve highlighted Nelson’s home system. I couldn’t believe how bad it was! Certainly nothing to impress your friends. I am always amazed at how “non-audiophile” musicians and genius’ are.

Ha! Why? Steve butchered pronouncing my last name. I’m sure Nelson talks to lots of people. And that wasn’t my question. My question was regarding the XA.5 series and why he didn’t just leave that sound alone, just tighten up the bass a little in the XA.8 series and it would be perfect. To me, the XA.8 is quite a departure sonically from the XA.5.
