Masimo update/Sound United Brands

It's a shame there isn't a Canadian investor willing to bring Classe' back home and restore it to it's former prominence.

So true...

Classe OMEGA amps, pre and CD/SACD were state of the musical playback art in their day as were other Classe components...

You would hope someone would see the value of a legendary brand like B&W. Marantz has been transferred a few times but is in pretty good standing, will need some care, one of the few brands that is able to sell both consumer and higher end products. Denon had quite a good history but will need some care. Both brands I feel are in good position as Pioneer/Onkyo isn't doing much in the market. Yamaha seems to be covering the consumer market pretty well, not sure how their mega dollar integrated are going. Technics is trying, the turntables are probably keeping them going. In short, just based on my perception it seems the brands from United would make someone a good investment.

This is not quite as crazy as the Audio Research situation. Or the Krell takeover. Still entertaining.
I’ve followed the Denon and Marantz saga through D&M Holdings, Bain Capital, McIntosh, and finally Sound United.

I think the activist investors are correct in this case, so I’d expect a new Sound United owner in the near future.

I don't know Tom did you read the story, suspected fake employee letters etc. it gives those other stories good competition, LOL

True. Did I see the new ARC amps are $90k?
