    Interesting feature on new gear I just purchased....

    As many of you know I have tested and reviewed literally dozens of Ethernet switches.

    One thing that has always been a reliability are the jacks as audiophile Ethernet cables can be quite stiff and sometimes the jacks are 180 degrees from the direction needed to plug in cleanly. This often puts significant pressure on the RJ45 ports.

    The Telegartner OPT Bridge has a feature on it that is brilliant in its simplicity in how it addresses my concern and this is the first time I've seen a manufacturer address this:

    It has guards that screw in over the cables once inserted to keep any twisting force from affecting the jack it's inserted into. It also makes it easier to "untwist" the cable. Finally a company addressing this issue. I am not aware of others that have incorporated such as system.
