OK - once again a HUGE thank you to Mike @ Suncost. Yup, 595se in da houzzzz!!

The story:

He shipped it to me and I stayed home all day to as it was signature required. I checked mid-afternoon and Fed Ex marked it "Business closed, didn't attempt delivery".

I was like, WHAT?!?!?! Since when did my home become a closed business???

Called Mike and the team and they tracked it down a the local Fed Ex hub. My guess is the driver was lazy and never even wanted to attempt to deliver it as it was back at the hub after being out for delivery at 1:20 in the afternoon.

Anyway, not willing to wait until they supposedly re-deliver it tomorrow (if anything happened to this one being delivered there is literally NO replacement available with only 100 being brought into the USA) - I dove in DFW traffic an hour to Fed Ex to pick it up and bring it home.

The level of refinement, fit and finish, and level of detail makes my Pass Labs look like a fisher price toy in comparison.

So once again, a huge thank you to Mike and his awesome team!

Congrats!...............But I'm going to disagree on Pass Labs fit and finish, my new XP32 is hardly Fisher-Price

Definitely fair enough. I should elaborate. On the INT-60 the buttons on the remote felt cheap to me, pressing the buttons on the unit was a weird feel, and the volume wobbled a bit and felt like it was connected to nothing.

On the Luxman, the remote buttons feel better and always work on the first push (unlike the Pass), the knobs do not wobble at all, and they have a super silky with some resistance feel when turned.

So while the Pass I'm sure is built well, it doesn't give me the same tactile high quality feel as the Luxmans do. I also feel there is more attention to details on the Luxman than on my Pass. Just my personal opinion.

I think Accuphase and Luxman build amps to excusite quality standards - I've not owned anything better built than my now-sold Accuphase amp. It's rather disappointing that both brands' products still look as if they come from the 1980s with their quaint tone and balance control knobs. At least the newer models have ditched the VU meters and Record Out and Monitor!

A few requirements for me was a way to have HT Bypass, Tape, Phono. I rarely touch any of the knobs but prefer this look over the Push Buttons that make it look more like a McIntosh. It is kind of a rip that the meters don't actually tell you anything aside from music is playing and music is loud. It would have been nice if they actually corrolated to something useful. Hey, they still look cool.

I agree the VU meters on my new 509x are useless. BUT I love having them as they look super cool and I'm glad to see the new Luxman's carry the tradition of having the VU meters still.

I was surprised that my wife - who thinks all audio gear looks the same - loves the retro look of the 595se I just got. I too like the retro look. But too each their own.
