Have you ever wanted to know more about TAS Writers?

Have you ever wanted to know more about TAS Writers?

If you are a subscriber to The Absolute Sound, this information may be of interest to you.

Starting with the 2021 High-End Audio Buyer's Guide, TAS issue 310 (Pages 11-24), there is a section titled “Meet The Writers”. In Issue 310, seven of the contributing writers profiled.

Each “Meet The Writers” profile contains a head shot of the writer and a selected photo of one or more parts of the audio system in their listening room. In addition to the photo, the writers share snippets of information from their backgrounds, musical interests, and sonic priorities.

I found the contributions interesting. For those that have the magazine subscription, you may find some of the information interesting as well.

    Dre

Note: There will be more “Meet The Writers” profiles of other contributors in forthcoming issues of TAS.

I am a subscriber, and read those bios in the Buyer's Guide and thought they were interesting, very diverse backgrounds and experiences.

True. The first seven writers have diverse backgrounds and experiences.

It looks like two of them are newer writers from the past year or two. I don't know as much about them compared to the remaining writers that have been contributing for several years.

Reading the writer's articles will give a good perspective on how they put their backgrounds, music interests, and sonic priorities into the process of creating reports.

Knowing a little more about a writer can sometimes help provide better understanding of where they are coming from when reading product reports.

    I Agree, Mike.

I'm looking forward to how the remaining TAS writers respond in the next few issues of the magazine's "Meet The Writers" sections.
