Positive Feedback Online Next up were always impressive Vienna Acoustics speakers. Distributor VANA Ltd. went all out driving the top-of the-line Vienna Acoustics Klimt Series The Music with the D'Agostino Master Audio Momentum mono amplifiers capably assisted by the Momentum preamplifier and VTL 7.5 phono stage. And I doubt too many left this room disappointed. The sound was simply effortless and very neutral. Hellborg's bass guitar on Elegant Punk were tightly controlled, detailed and powerful.

    Vienna Acoustics - Klimt Series:

    - The Music (The real deal - Full range loudspeaker)
    - The Kiss (The smaller Music without the two lower woofers - instead a fashionable/integral speaker stand)
    - Poetry (Center channel speaker)

    * Imperial is new to me.

I will eventually install one in the rear left setting - on my short list to date is Schroeder LT - DaVinci Master Reference Virtu. TechDas is coming out with one also so I'll wait to see, their cart has peaked my interest also, Jack and his brother Jim from the Philippines now both own the same AF-1 table and have shared only positives.

Bruce I do have some Graham arm experience and was kinda shaking my head originally, why? Well I had a Phantom II and then got my REED which in my system I felt was superior over all and preferred so I sold the Phantom. Bob has assured me the Elite is a far superior design and due to my current set-up sounding so marvelous isn't concerning me but in the end once I add my other arm I will find out

Ha Dev! Firstly no I'm not BB from Puget--he is much smarter than I!

Secondly thank you for the controlled responses and glad the setup you have --how impressive I must admit some jealousy there-- is working to you satisfaction

Once again personal prefs -as is so prevalent in our game comes to the fore.

So please enjoy the Music--after all that's what it's all about

    Good luck and Good Listening

Here is the lowdown on the VA Music of the Klimt series vs. The new Imperial of the Lizst series
    Price 29.9k vs 12.5k
fully articulated tweeter module that can move up and down and side to side swivel. The imperial has a smaller different tweeter in a module that can only swivel left and right. To change angle of front edge the 4 feet on the base can b raised or lowered to sort of tilt the speaker toward the desired listener ear height.
Nicer veneer and finish on the Music.
3 adjustable levers to tune speaker to your room.
+supertweeter and larger woofers down to 18HZ

As the Music was paired with VTL 7.5 and D'ag monoblocks it was ez to c why it sounded so much finer than the new Imperial which may b perfect for smaller rooms at a lower budget. I think Primare amps were used on the Imperial.
    Cheers,

Thank you, Myles. That is the best show report I have ever read. And I read them all from stereophile to absolute sound to positive feedback to bloggers. You cover not just equipment but people. You cover well known brands and lesser known brands. You cover vinyl deliciously. You give enough information and photos - name the products, give some detail and share your POV. And that last part is most important. You aren't just reporting the weather - you offer some context and opinion and comparison (eg "in contrast to the vast majority of rooms heard at this and other shows--was that there was actually really a midrange! What a concept! And no evidence of that artificial edge that I've heard in the other TAD models over the years"). Superb. And appreciated. You (and Alan Sircom) are the two best reviewers on planet earth right now. Cheers.

Thanks, I do intentionally cover the people in the industry. I feel it's important because we read about the designers and their equipment but few will ever get to meet or see them. And there's so many good guys/gals as well as characters in the industry!

Could you indicate exactly what it looks like, and in which picture exactly can you see it?
...You said it's white, and what shape does it have? ...Not that white long bowling pin?
...Or does it have transparent plexiglass tubes? ...Nah, or you would have mentioned it.
If you can be more precise I'll do my very best to find out exactly what it is.

EDIT: Ho, you've already found it! ...But I was very close, and I would have find it too.
    {You can see it on the first and last (4th) picture.}

I agree, marvelous shots and has a great eye for sure. It's allot of work in general navigating ones way threw out all of these rooms to be effective, never mind providing such end results in such a short time frame. Two thumbs up to anyone who does this, I know I really appreciate and never get tired of viewing. Thank You!

Maybe. I have not planned that far ahead yet. I usually have work obligations around that time. I guess i could even drive, but it would be a distance…maybe 8 hours?
The sure one for me in 2014 is Montreux. Not even sure about Zurich.

Vegas was great this year because of all the new debuts of products and manufacturers.

Norman, what type of tweeters are those (atop the small tower speakers)?

    * Also, do you notice something different here in that setup (top picture)?

Well, they have the exact same shape as my Linaeum Ribbon Dipole (Omni) tweeters - soooo, they got to be.

    * As for the unusual setup: The small tower speakers are facing each other (ain't their final position though; and them ribbon tweeters are not part of their design - they are simply resting on their tops).
