    Anyone with Simaudio experience

Had to sell my Bryston 4B3, BDA3 and BP26 along with my lumin U1 with sbooster. Will be looking for a fix shortly and have a line on a simaudio 340iX and 280D streamer dac with Mind module. Anyone have experience with this line. I’ve heard only good things, and I myself have to be realistic this won’t compete with my old rig. I’ll miss that bryston power

    Thanks

Thanks everyone I’m just on the fence about picking up the 340ix and 280D or wait until I can grab the line above it. The 600i V2 to go with 680D which would be triple the price for what I would pick up the line below for.

Thanks to Mike, I have the Simaudio 390, which easily lives up to all of its rave reviews and awards. I can't speak to Sim's higher-priced models other than to point to the law of diminishing returns.

If I had to replace the 390, I would probably look to the Boulder 812, which I am sure Mike would be happy to sell me.

I have the Sim paired with the Benchmark AHB2, which also excels for the money.

I also have the Simaudio 430HA, and have owned many of their other products over the years. Sonics, build quality and customer service are all beyond reproach.

    Good luck with your search.

    Re: Anyone with Simaudio experience

I’m leaning to a Hegel 390 as a one box solution. There is a Roon update coming anytime as a end point. A few I have talked to all say this will walk on the moon but also keep up to my bryston bp26, 4b3, bda3. Claims go further that Hegel intergrated will keep up pound for pound and beat any separates that are cost competitive. Never heard a bad word about Hegel maybe this is my shot.
