Pretty reasonable pricing for monoblock amplifiers in today’s high-end audio world.

When will people stop doing this... we, in North America, will not get the same pricing as in Japan.

People only did the math using the published MSRP on their site to USD.

Very reasonable assumption for the uninitiated, based solely on the equipment you own, you are not one of the unintiated and you know better. Expect each one of these Monos to retail for $35-$40K USD.

I’m eyeing the Grandioso M1X , just wondering if it would be a sideways move compared to
my Constellation Centaur ll 500 Stereo , they sure would match my other esoteric gear

It's hardly ever a sideways move going from a good stereo amp to a good mono amp. If you own other Esoteric stuff it makes sense to continue with Esoteric to leverage the brand synergy.

A full Grandioso system with the latest versions would be extremely compelling.

    State of the Art.

Don't forget the ES-L XLR link to connect all your devices.

    If you acquire these amps.

Please post your impressions here :-)

Agreed...the ES-L XLR link is a leading reason to keep it all Grandioso.

Also, not saying anything against Constellation by any means; I do think the C1X and M1X would be the ideal match sonically
given what I've heard from Constellation amps in the past (that I like) and the past C1 and M1 combination. If it were me,
I'd stick with C1X and M1X together, no doubt. The only deviation from all Esoteric in the stack that is being contemplated
is the Lampi Pacific DAC which is an amazing piece.

Re: *New* Esoteric Grandioso M1X Monos

The ES-L link, being a current driven analog connection, neuters the influence the cable has on the resulting sound. So a main benefit is you can use a cheaper cable. The difference in sound will depend on the quality/effect of the non ES-L voltage driven cable you're comparing it against.

I've read similar. That being said, it certainly does make network cables (MIT, Transparent) a moot point with ES-L.

However, given the resolution of these electronics, even with ES-L Link, I'd still think a quality cable would matter.

Individuals who can play at this level, certainly don't skimp on cables.

I remember a Youtube video years ago when it debuted , the Esoteric rep had the system wired with Odin.

A Sigma V2 XLR loom would be amazing indeed with ES-L Link.

Also, if the mono amps are out of reach. We can assume, perhaps later this year or next , that the stereo version will arrive to replace the Grandioso S1.

I bet it will be called S1X

Re: *New* Esoteric Grandioso M1X Monos

I don't know if the C1X supports simultaneous output of ES-L and XLR. If it doesn't, if you connect the C1X>M1X with ES-L you won't be able to use a subwoofer (unless the subwoofer has a high level input).

I've certainly had concerns with the people at Onkyo, apparently when they ship you the wrong color its your fault. But this is going back years now. I assumed you had experienced issues with them as well, it appears you have not. Maybe Ill order something and see how it goes.

No issues here. They’ve been great.

I’d like to know when the M1X becomes available. I’ll be interested as an early adopter to find a demo pair to see what improvements are lurking sound wise.

Re: *New* Esoteric Grandioso M1X Monos

Was just browsing the Esoteric website and saw this on the M1X page:

    Grandioso M1X
Notice of Delay in the Release of Grandioso M1X

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in the release of the Grandioso M1X to our customers and other related parties.

As we hasten to procure parts that are difficult to obtain, we've been continuing to examine the model's circuitry with a view towards using alternative parts and have decided to advance the design, including circuitry changes, as we see the possibility of further improvement in sound quality.

This design change will result in changes to the appearance, specifications, etc. that were previously announced. However, we are confident that we will be able to deliver the Grandioso M1X with even higher performance and sound quality.

We will keep you informed regarding the model's availability.

Announcement on Esoteric website that M1X is being built in limited quantities due to parts availability and will go on sale from May 2022.

There is also a new D1X software update posted there. Although I don't think we have any D1X owners here yet.
