delay in Esoteric delivery
Hi,
I live in the UK, and ordered a N03T on the 5th of May. The dealer said there wasn't a unit in Europe, and gave an ETA of 6th of June. That did not come to pass, and my last information from them was "some time in July". I don't want to hassle my dealer on a weekly basis, but on the other hand, it would be good to know what is going on. I appreciate there is only that much the dealer can do; they said that Esoteric are not being communicative.
Is there a shortage of these units? Has anyone else experienced long delays?
Many thanks.

Have you sent an email directly to Esoteric?

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
I'm experiencing delays for various gear from many manufacturers. Some models are back to normal or were never impacted that much, but others are weeks or months longer than usual, sometimes with additional unexpected delays pushing the original ETA farther out.
Unfortunately Covid is still actively impacting operations and cases are increasing in places (still too many unvaccinated people worldwide, Delta variant, etc.); supply chains are only now starting to recover; there is very high demand; and there are product shortages that are going to last a while (e.g. AKM fire and its ripple effects on other chip and component manufacturers).Neko Audio

Manufacturers are doing their best, but they are all behind. Their suppliers and suppliers to those suppliers can’t get the materials. It’s taking much longer than usual. This is not just in audio. Try buying a new car.
I would encourage everyone to be patient and good things will come to those who wait.

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
I ordered a vehicle in March that will most likely arrive in October and the vehicle is made in the US.
Took 5 months to receive new chairs for my audio room.
One of our cars was down for 6 weeks last year as the part was not available - the vehicle was 3 months old.
My Vivid speakers took months to receive primarily due to issues with international freight complexities.
I deal with regular raw materials and product delays at the manufacturing company I work for.
Hiring employees and having adequate staff is an issue most companies deal with continually.
Unfortunately this is the new reality and it is going to be like this for a while.Buddy

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
I have not, assuming Esoteric might not wish to communicate with end users. I have found the website of the European distributor, which lists the N03T as currently unavailable.

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
Thanks. I suppose just hanging in there until it arrives is the only way to go. I bought a NUC for Roon and I am quite keen to start using it; i don't have a Roon end point at the moment.

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
Hi, thanks for pointing that out. I found some press releases on the Esoteric web site yesterday about delays. I don't think they mentioned the N03T, but I'll have another look.

Re: delay in Esoteric delivery
Try and buy a new car. In our market the answer is no. Kia won't even take an order. Skoda is 8+ months delivery. Toyota has nothing in stock and the wait is the same. Ford can't even say when they might get a car in stock to sell. The reason is electronics. They can't get the engine control modules or the entertainment units that are in most cars now.

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
