Momentum Stereo vs Monentum mono blocks
Hi guys
Interested in the thoughts of anyone who has gone from Momentum Stereo to the mono blocks or spent a bit of time listening to each.
What does the mono block to better and what does the Stereo amp do better in the delivery of music and control of them speakers
Is it even worthwhile going to the mono blocks?

I've thought about this for a while and I still occasionally think about the Dag sound. Unless you really need the power, I feel that stereo amps in general and the Dag stereo in particular was a phenomenal performer.

Hi Joe, Not at all feel like I am missing anything, but when has that ever stopped any of us crazies.
Dan does make the mono block for a reason I assume. I have heard they are better - but how much?
Just thinking out aloud at the moment. I would listen for myself if I was to take the next step

My main reason to go to the stereo vs the mono is that everyone that I know who has compared the 2 versions, thinks the stereo is a touch sweeter. That's all I needed to hear because I like to error on a warmer/sweeter sound.

If you love the stereo, you'll love the monos. These are lifetime amps and you are not one to change gear on a whim. My advice, buy them and don't look back. Life is too short . I'd love the stereo amp again but would trade looks for a lower price.

I had read/heard that also Joe. But when I finally had the chance to listen to the mono's compared to the stereo amp, it's not what I heard. I was really shocked, so was the salesman. I found the monos had a sweet ease to them that was easily heard at low volumes. Not at loud volumes like you would think. There was more a difference at low volumes. This sweetness combined with the extra power and authority is a winner.

I have to agree with Jock. Having the mono's at home, they are the opposite in reality. the mono's are sweeter in the mids. A bit more fuller, laid back yet very transparent.
the Stereo is a little lighter on its feet and a slight bit more forward compared to the mono's.
One of the bigger differences I can hear in my system is the mono's have a better 3d image in that they give a more realistic image of space within the soundstage - wider and deeper soundstage I guess you can say.

Thanks guys, however I have owned the Stereo Dag for a couple of years now.
I was demoing against the monoblocks
In my system I overall preferred the Stereo amp, so no upgrade.

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
