Awesome review to read. One thing is for sure - the Lumin seems like a heck of a unit.

One comment: there is no doubt in my mind that the Ethernet is a superior interface format. It is guaranteed to be bit perfect thanks to TCP/IP protocol and offers galvanic isolation, which prevents the computer grunge from entering the DAC/streamer.

I heard that the GISO GB improves things significantly for Ethernet connections:

Very nice, thorough review Mike. I'm glad it turned out to be everything you wanted in digital.

    Mike,

    1. Great read; thx for taking the time to share.
    2. Did you mention the DACs used in the Lumin?
    3. I bet your speakers have lot to do with the sound quality at the end. ...And the quality music recordings of course.
    4. A little steep (dispendieux) right now, but it augurs very well for the near future, and for everyone.

Thanks Bob. They are Wolfson DAC's. Same as in the Linn I believe.

Wolfson; cool, smooth DACs generally. ...Makes digital music more pleasurable to listen to, less edgy.
