I've never lucked into a bottle at list, my local spirit emporium has it in stock year round for $1500-4000 depending on age statement, etc. The mash bill includes wheat which does give it a smoother finish. Anyone else catch the comment "Its like the difference between a hood ornament and a race horse" as an unconscious slight against Blanton's?

Some liquor stores are actually selling tickets to get a chance to buy a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle.

Picked up a bottle @ retail at a small store in rural MN. Good bourbon. I would get another one, but not for crazy money.

Crazy.

I had a pour of his 23 yr bourbon, I think two fingers set me back a c-note. I couldn't hate on it, it was spectacular.

Holy Crap! High end audio has nothing on high end bourbon.

I’ve had the 23 yr a few times - it’s very very rich tasting. Nothing remotely like it.

Also paid $30 for the 10 or 15 year at a local bar and it wasn’t anywhere worth the $.
