Cooking for the wife
Cooked this for my wife last night. Once in a while I need to return the favor, since she does all the cooking and I make the reservations, and BBQ.
Bacon wrapped pork medallions
Swiss chard
Baby potatoes
a nice French Margaux (2003 Chateau Giscours)
What's on your table, that you made yourself on the stove, not the BBQ?
Vine, Vide, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Good job ! That looks tasty.
I've been married for 32 yrs and I cook every meal. I learned from my Italian mother, she was the best cook I've ever seen. I really enjoy it, and I love to cook for friends too when they come over.Mark

Re: Cooking for the wife
I whipped up a simple but very healthy dish when we had some friends over this weekend. Stir fried a bunch of colorful veggies (red, yellow, orange peppers, purple cabbage, yellow squash, zucini, mushrooms) with a lot of garlic and ginger paste. Sliced up some heavily spiced NY steaks from the grill, topped it all off with some shredded mozarella, plain yogurt, and tamari.
Started the evening with a nice Viogier, then a nice cabernet with dinner, and another bottle when we moved to the music room.

Re: Cooking for the wife
Now we understand why your wife gave you the great gift of early retirement! For dinner my wife likes to make reservations... Her dream house doesn't have a kitchen! All kidding aside, she's gotten much better, but if there are guests, I do the cooking. If there are more than about 10-12, we hire the caterer.

Waiting on our demos. We did have experience with them at axpona in our room. They are another league better than Venom X (which we have in the store). The Theta sounds like “Omega Lite”. Very...
